Amber Alert issued for 14-year-old boy police say was abducted in Toronto

Toronto police have issued an Amber Alert for a 14-year-old boy they believe was abducted in the northwestern part of the city.

Police say they’re extremely concerned for the safety of Shammah Jolayemi, was last seen in the area of Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue on Wednesday at 8:25 a.m.

Const. Michelle Flannery, a spokesperson for the Toronto Police Service, said police do not know who abducted Shammah.

«There is something that had led investigators to believe this is an abduction rather than a missing boy,» Flannery said Wednesday night.

Police say a vehicle, a black Jeep Wrangler with oversize front tires and a front push bar with round fog lights, was seen in the area where the boy was was last seen.

No licence plate is available.

The suspects are described as as two black males wearing black jackets and bandanas on their heads. The suspects are believed to be age 18 and 22.

Police want to speak to the boy’s stepbrother, Olakan Osikoya.

Shamma is described as about five feet, 11 inches to six feet tall, with a slim build and short dark brown hair. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, grey track pants with a thin orange stripe, shiny black puffy coat, and black and yellow Air Jordan sneakers.
